schedules and such

I like to record the boy's schedules occasionally so I can look back and see what worked and didn't. Anyway, right now I have them in the same room. In one way, I really want them in the same room to hopefully help them bond and be friends. But its a pain because they keep each other awake and wake each other up in the morning.  Right now they go to bed between 6:30 and 8:30pm depending on the night and if Jens got a nap.  And they wake from 6:00am to 7:30am, depending on when they went to bed.  It seems like with Jens, however, it doesn't matter what time he goes to bed, he is an early riser.  Quinn has learned how to sleep in a little.
Quinn is a horrible eater, still. He eats a few bites and says he's full. Then he wants to snack in between meals.  If he drinks a full cup, he says it hurts his stomach. He must have a stomach the size of a golf ball.  I still have guilt that it all stems from how little milk I had when I nursed him : (  And he is super picky about what he eats. Jens is a great eater and eats basically whatever I fix.  And he eats twice the amount of Quinn.  However, at his 2 year appointment, he was 25% in both weight and height.  He's just little, no matter how much I feed him.
They both love fruit, vegis, and carbs.  Jens loves meat, but Quinn will only eat chicken nuggets and fish off the grill. And of course they love any kind of junk food, candy, dessert, etc.  But I have no problem denying them those things.  I just eat it myself on the sly.  I'm pretty good not having junk in the house to eat and when we do they get it, its only after being filled up on a meal.  Lets hope I can keep that up for the next 18 years.
We are almost back on a schedule after summer.  Monday and Tuesday I take them to the "Learning Center" on the high school campus.  Its just a little class where they read books, do a craft, learn about a letter for the day, and then they can play with toys.  Wednesday is playgroup. And Thursday I'm hoping to trade with a couple moms for preschool.  I was thinking Friday could be our day to drive into SLC and go to the children's museum.  And in a couple months I have plans to start 9am exercise class again.  I also signed Quinn up for soccer. He has his first practice tonight. Jens loves having somewhere to go everyday, but Quinn would rather stay at home to watch shows, play outside, and create "recipes" out of toilet paper and water.
