Pathetic picture taking for the month of December. This is it.
Our Christmas card this year : ) Quinn was the only one who cooperated, but it still turned out cute.
I made this for our wall downstairs. I saw something similar on pinterest and just adapted it to how I liked. My only regret is the font I used on "First Comes Love" You can't read it very well.

We had Blinky the Elf visit us this year for the first time. The kids thought it was fun. Thurm and I debated the Oh So Controversial Elf on a Shelf, but in the end decided its fun and basically the same idea as Santa. So if you are going to perpetuate Santa, whats the difference?

Sweet Quinn put the nativity on the front of our gingerbread house. He really understood the meaning of Christmas at age four! I was so impressed. He knew that Christmas was Jesus's birthday and we gave gifts because the wisemen gave Jesus gifts. It just amazes me what kids can comprehend. Thurm is so good at never dumbing things down for our kids and assuming they will understand. I love that.

Christmas was so weird this year. We brought the flu with us and got my mom and dad sick. My mom spent Christmas eve puking her guts out. And my dad spent Christmas morning in bed. My brother's family stayed at their house, so as not to get infected with the flu too. So it was a quiet Christmas with just our family. Our kids go to bed at 7pm so we didn't get to do much of our Christmas Eve traditions.

They both look hilarious in this picture. haha~!

Our little piggy on Christmas morning.

This is what I do on mornings I can't make myself get out of bed. Who are these mom's that are dressed, hair done, make-up on, with breakfast on the table before their kids are awake?
